RPG Travel Guide

Traveling is often one of the pillars of role playing games. It allows you, the GM, to evoke the setting with short scenes, bits of people’s lives, and interesting locales that speak of world’s history. Journeys create intrigue, give players a sense of discovery, and serve as a way to change player’s scenery.

This supplement puts the power to plan and manage risk into players' hands. It will help you bring depth and structure to overland travel in your games. The goal is to create an easy to follow process that will provide you with meaningful and thematic challenges for your players. With few basic terms and half a dozen tables you’ll be able to set clear expectations of the road ahead and create obstacles on the fly.

The supplement won’t give you writing prompts to build upon. The situations presented are highly abstracted and leave it up to you to give them color and details depending on the game you are running. It will set up a type of challenge or event to present to your players, but it is up to you to decide on which NPCs, monsters, or objects to use.
