NPC Creator

Keeping a list of people your players encounter can be a tedious task. This supplement will help you easily create and organise interesting and memorable people on the fly. Using a selection of clearly defined keywords you can create millions of distinctive people for your world.

When the game gets underway and your players inevitably steer in the wrong direction, you will be able to create a new NPC in no-time. The keywords are focused on the most important NPC aspects and will give you a full picture in only a few words. With two lines in your notebook you’ll always know how to role play them if your players encounter them again after a number of sessions.

This supplement is a part of the Leap Engine role playing system, but it can stand alone and be used with any system you prefer as long as it has dice. You can download the Leap Engine RPG for free at https://le-rpg.itch.io/leap-engine

hey, would you like to add a markdown version of the tables? i formatted one for personal use, I can give it to you.

also, what license is this content under?

Heh, damn Hasbro. To be honest, I didn't think about licenses, just doing this for fun. I'm definitely for something as open as possible, I heard good things about CC-BY, but I haven't made my research yet. Since you asked, you are free to use it under CC-BY even if I later set it under a different license. I would love to see what you do with it so send me a link ;)

Understood! I usually go with CC-BY SA, if that helps, or with the Anti-Capitalist Cooperative License.

Haven't heard of that second one, I'll check it out. I'm kind of waiting to see which one will be the new mainstream license in the rpg community so I can just follow suit...

I would rather stay away from those unless I absolutely have to use them, which is unlikely.

Here us the Anti-Capitalist Attribution Cooperative License: https://noroadhome.itch.io/acaclicense

Is there an option when creating a pdf to have markdown versions included?

well, I manually copy-pasted the tables from the pdf onto a blank file. I think some apps extract text from pdf but they are not great sometimes. is that what you are asking?

Hmmm, now we're both confused... :D You asked initially if I want to add markdown version of the tables and I wasn't sure what did you mean by that. Add where? I assumed you meant to add it to the pdf somehow. That's why I asked my question...

Anyway, I've never seen markdown tables as a part of a product. Do you have a link to a game where I could see what did you mean initially?

Oh I see! I meant a separate file in markdown format that contains only the tables!

Oh. I don't think I wanna add extra files. I like to keep everything in a single file so that I can easily maintain it. There isn't enough traffic on my itch projects to justify any extra work :D

This is fantastic!
